I don't really know who I am, and I don't think I ever have.
Maybe: "She lived, she tried to enjoy life and be a good person. She thought the world was an amazing place." Or: "She lived her life as most did, surviving a series of mistakes and sucesses that left her the person she is today." Or: "Born in Idaho, moved a lot. Lived in California most of her adult life. Worked as an engineer. Was a musician. Was an artist. Finally found true love and married him."
I've done a lot of things in my life so far. I played in a band named Phantom Blue in the 1980s. I've wrote a comicbook or two back in the early 90s. I've worked at Disney, and in DOD Aerospace companies building rockets and sekret stuff, I created the Freestyle Glucose Meter. I write. I paint. I do 3D modeling. I'm one of the old timers when it comes to anime, though I'm sort of burnt out on it now and very picky about what interests me. I'm a musher but not much of a rollplayer. For me it's like acting, it's about character development and storytelling. I have played nearly every mmorpg out there. But only EQ ever kept my attention for long. I played EQ avidly for 5 years, but then decided I wanted a life. I currently play WOW however, and on a regular basis.
I have too many hobbies; I write, I paint, I design and sew clothing. I create 3D models and textures, I make jewelry, I currently work for myself selling things in Second Life, and it's been surprisingly successful. I play guitar/bass, keyboards, sometimes sing amazingly well, and have a knack for lyrics. I have a lot of grand plans to do everything, from getting into fashion design, getting back into music and/or getting back into the world of comicbooks, - to running for public office. But currently my life is boring, but in a way that's made me happier than I ever have been before in my life.
I learned to read before I was three years old, and I've devoured books ever since. When I was young we often lived in small towns, and I would read out the entire library and have to eagerly await new ones. I first discovered SF when I was nine. I was given special permission to go to the library in the high school because I had read most everything in our tiny grade school's library.
I love animals, and my pets have always been members of my family. It remains so.
